The 5th IEEE International Conference on Artificial Intelligence Circuits and Systems (IEEE AICAS 2023) was successfully held at Grand Hyatt Hangzhou

The 5th IEEE International Conference on Artificial Intelligence Circuits and Systems (IEEE AICAS 2023) was successfully held at Grand Hyatt Hangzhou from June 11-13, 2023.This conference isaflagship conference of IEEE Circuits and Systems and one of the most highly regarded annual conferences in thisfield.

Focusing on cutting-edge research and applications of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, the conference exploredinnovations and developments in the field of AI circuits and systems. Attendeesarefrom academia and industry worldwide, whoenjoy great reputationin the fields of AI chip and algorithm design, neuromorphic circuits,intelligent biomedical sensors, and learning algorithms. Itis worth mentioning thatitis the first timethat the AICAS conference areheld in mainland China.

This year’s AICAS receives full support from IEEE Circuits and systems society and was hosted by Westlake University, chaired byMohamad Sawan, an internationally renowned scientist in the field of intelligent biomedical devices and a Fellow of The Royal Society of Canada, and co-chaired byWei Shaojun, an international expert in microelectronics and solid state electronics and an academician of the International Eurasian Academy of Sciences.

At the beginning of the conference,Mohamad Sawan, the co-chair of AICAS, Chair Professor of the School of Engineering and Director of the Center for Advanced Neurochips (CenBRAIN Neurotech) at Westlake University, andShaojun Wei, Professor of the Department of Microelectronics and Nanoelectronics at Tsinghua University, welcomed the guests and delivered opening remarks.

During the conference,Academician Moncef Gabboujfrom Tampere University,Professor Giacomo Indiverifrom ETH Zurich, andProfessor YuchaoYangfrom Peking University shared their views onmachine learning, bionic intelligence and integrated memristors,respectively. Nearly 180 experts, scholars, faculty and student representatives from domestic and from 29 foreign countries shared their latest academic achievements and engaged in lively discussions.
