Photoacoustic Imaging System

Introduction
The PACT system used in the research is mainly comprised of an illumination laser, an optical parametric oscillator (OPO), a half-ring ultrasonic transducer array, data acquisition (DAQ) system and computer. For photoacoustic excitation, a 523 nm optical beam from a laser was modulated to the required wavelength by an OPO and transmitted through customized optical fiber bundles.
